About This Project

This is a Simulation Tech, Inc. (STI) project

STI will be announcing our new CO2 reduction system for ships (CERS) within the next two weeks. This product is the result of over three years of research and development. At release, the CERS will be the only system in the marine market that can verifiably reduce CO2 emissions from commercial ships from 50% to 60%. These results are backed by major class societies' independent tests. Unlike other systems on the market (making questionable or spurious claims) that use a sodium carbonate reduction method, our new system shows no leach of CO2 back into the atmosphere through discharge. The reason is that we are converting the CO2 into a carbon solid and O2 gas via a chemical reaction. This system is the first time that this process has been tried at sea, and our tests were extraordinary in their results (53% reduction).

Cost of the system will be substantial, but we are combining fuel efficiency and several other processes with the CERS to provide ship owners economic incentives to operate green. In the case of New Zealand, ETS credits savings also contribute, as will credits from any IMO MEPC regulations that are expected later this year.

We are hopeful that we will be successful. Announcement should occur in a few weeks on www.cleanairatsea.com.
