A National Climate Change Innovation Award. This is essentially a Eco 'Dragon's Den' - where promising innovations are awarded with development funding and investment.
A Wellington based TV production company have plans to make a TV series around the challenge which will ensure it gets maximum coverage.
There are two main thrusts - one is actively fostering positive innovation culture around responding to the challenge of climate change, so that New Zealand begins to shift its identity from a passive "Clean Green" to an active "Transformation Nation".
Another is pulling in all sectors of society into an exciting collaboration and partnership; from the regional economic development agencies to schools, the business community and relevant community groups.
