Functional Whole Foods (FWF) Limited, based in Geraldine, is a manufacturer and marketer of natural products, predominantly organic flaxseed oil. Founded in 1992 by David Musgrave, the current owner, the Company has grown to lead in the market with the dominant flaxseed oil brand; sold in health product and other retail stores throughout New Zealand. The Company’s flaxseed oil product plays an important role in human health through supplementation of Omega-3 oils that are deficient in the diet. There is a significant body of international science supporting flaxseed oil’s effectiveness in treating a range of disease conditions, especially inflammatory skin and joint problems.
