Founded over a decade ago, Simulation Tech, Inc. (STI) has pioneered the research and development of shipboard equipment, ranging from one of the first VDRs on the market to highly sophisticated and specialized ship operations simulators. Recently, STI's core competency has expanded to include research and development in the field of controlling marine air pollution through the reduction of engine emissions.
STI developed the Marine Emissions Control System to provide ship owners the ability to fully comply with upcoming IMO and other emissions control regulations at a self-financed, zero net, long-term cost.
First in the market with a total ship emissions control and monitoring system, the STI system is the only solution that presently can reduce emissions of SOX, NOX, CO, Smoke, HCL, and recently, CO2 and PM to current and proposed limits through 2020. The system uses a combination of several patented and proprietary tecniques to control both emissions and costs: scrubbing; water treatment; filtration; monitoring; reporting; maintenance monitoring; performance optimization; and the control of fuel consumption. When combined together with written and insured guarantees, the system entirely eliminates the risks associated with regulatory non-compliance, and does so with an eye towards the business of ship operations.
