The Age of Stupid,

Anyone seen The Age of Stupid yet ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfl2oMqUg4A
What did you think?
Will it change anything?
Or is it like say The 11th Hour which only appealed to the 1% of the population that gives a stuff.
Will 'we' look back in 6 months to confirm that what I'm saying is correct - specifically that the general dumb public (GDP) are to dumbed down to work it out, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlYTJ9JHY4A and nothing will change ... for the better anyway;)

The Making of Documentary charts the six-year history of the film and its many incarnations, false starts and screening hiccups. Armstrong's father tells her in The Making of … that the film is a "disaster" until the radical introduction of Pete Postlethwaite as its narrator. Thanks to a stellar cast behind the scenes such as Oscar-winning John Battsek, Armstrong goes back to the cutting room to make a much better film.

At times funny, irreverent and moving, The Making of ... documentary will give you a flavour of The Age of Stupid without giving away the whole story and the many surprising twists throughout the film.

I've seen it Robert, it's pretty cool stuff, especially if you are new to the space of geopolitical issues and climate change. I know you're a veteran though ... I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it though or is trying to get their head around what's facing us into our future. It's a good wake up call.

Watched it twice now, sorry to say it is a bit of a letdown, missing some vital facts, in particular overpopulation and peak oil, saying oil will run out in 40 years leaving nothing for future generations, seemed a bit of an understatement, and missed the point that peak oil is the turning point for human kind, within 40 years 66 of 67 people are going to have to go (at current population numbers), that is what 'running out of oil is about', 90% of our food is dependent on fossil fuels simply said no oil = no food = no people, and just as importantly law and order is very very dependent on oil, look at Baghdad or say Mogadishu these are examples of what 'running out' of oil/law and order/food supply, looks like. Our oil dependent lifestyles are about to come crashing down, the other side of this coin is Zimbabwe at is worst ... which we haven't seen yet.
I recommend Blind Spot as harder hitting, and more factual. One good thing about 'Age' - no happy chapter
