Wow ! What a surprise. Two excellent intelligent programmes on TV1 last night.
Primeval New Zealand at 7.30pm which was stunning, intelligent and informative, well presented with a lovely touch of Kiwi humour from time to time. And to think our national icon, the kiwi, and so much more came originally from Australia!
And then, straight after an hour of that, the much awaited Frozen Planet which showed in the UK and the US last year.
David Attenborough's distinctive tones, and photography that is breathtaking of places most of us haven't seen and wont get to see. And stories of death and sex on the ice which are masterly.
Thanks TV1...it meant 2 hours glued to the TV ...an experience that in itself is extremely rare.
