Spring has arrived (sort of) and to celebrate, we’re giving our readers the chance to win some delicious top-notch organic Villa Maria Cellar Selection Merlot 2009—to help melt away any last remnants of Winter. Yummy.

How to win

Spring is often the time when we delve into new projects or perform that ‘spring clean’ in anticipation of the warm summer months, so to win a bottle of the bright and fruity organic wine for yourself, all you have to do is tell us what your ‘spring clean’ project is.

More about the organic Villa Maria Cellar Selection Merlot 2009

The organic merlot comes from Villa Maria’s Joseph Soler vineyard in Hawkes Bay, which has operated on organic principles since 2001 and contains 21 hectares now certified by BioGro New Zealand. Rather than relying on herbicides or pesticides, the vineyard utilises organic products and seaweeds to prevent pests and promote growth. To naturally soften the wines tannins, free range organic egg whites were used.

This would match perfectly with the deck being build for summer. I'll make sure to ask for it next time.

Put shelving up in the 'dirt room' underneath our house. It stays cool all year round so will be perfect for storing fruit, veges and preserves.

I'm all out in the garden - weeding, feeding spring bulbs, planting kai for summer and planting new trees. Beautiful days ahead...

I'm on a mission. To transform my workplace into a learning oriented environment. To start with I've commandeered the cluttered production meeting room, removed anything that had more than 3 months worth of dust on it and put positive educational stuff up on the walls like H&S and sustainability posters.

The Spring cleaning task for me includes completing projects from the Winter months and wiping the slate clean for new and exciting Spring/Summer projects. This year, this includes setting up a full organic vege garden on my converted 1950's roof, restoring office space ready for a new tenant, and decluttering my own home ready for a new flatmate.
