Could it be possible that our, dare we say conservative minded friends over at NZ Herald are finally waking up to the fact that climate change is a big deal?

I nearly fell out of my chair reading this editorial this morning.  (pinch yourself to reassure that you are still in reality whilst reading).

Also worth checking out is this really good piece by Geoff Ross of 42 Below Vodka highlighting that rather than look at the upfront costs, we should be looking at the benefits as well as the severity of future repercussions if we don't take action.

One would hope that this turn of sentiment would encourage John Key and company to make some serious action, rather than taking pot shots at Kiesha Castle-Hughes for her support of the Greenpeace Sign On Campaign

Come on boys, bring your A game.  You say you're all about moving NZ up in the world... how can you justify slack greenhouse gas reduction targets?  There's more to life than OECD rankings and GDP.  Not to mention Australia is doing bugger all on climate change.  We have an opportunity to really up the Aussies... why aren't we jumping at the chance?
