The Sustainable Business Network is once again running the popular People’s Choice Award. Members of the public are encouraged to vote for their chosen company online at www.sustainableawards.org.nz until 28 October, with the winner announced at the NZI National SBN Awards evening on November 8.
Sustainable Business Network chief executive Rachel Brown says she is thrilled at the number of businesses that are continuing to prioritise sustainability.
“The theme of the awards this year is ‘Highlighting the Best’, acknowledging businesses that make an incredible, positive contribution to New Zealand’s economy, environment, and culture every year. It’s encouraging to see so many businesses taking leadership positions in the sustainability space and if you want to see some of these, come down to Shed 10 on the 9th of November and check them out.
“Congratulations to all of the NZI National SBN Awards finalists. They are proof that a holistic approach to business is not only good for the environment; it’s also good for the bottom line. These finalists continually adapt and innovate to grab opportunities that exist. We are looking forward to the awards evening to celebrate these outstanding achievements,” says Ms Brown.
Businesses enter the awards via participation in the Sustainable Business Network’s ‘Get Sustainable Challenge’, which helps businesses to identify, measure, and improve their sustainable development. For the Sustainable Design and Innovation Award, Sustainability Champion Award, and Social Innovation Award, entrants complete a separate entry form.
Foundation partner NZI continues to support the Sustainable Business Network and is the primary sponsor of the NZI National SBN Awards for the fourth consecutive year.
