These days, corporate citizenship is becoming an increasingly critical component of successful business. Making money is no longer the bottom line, with shareholders increasingly demanding all-round responsible practices—from the way staff are treated to responsible environmental stewardship, to positive contribution to the local community. And with that in mind, we’re excited to announce that along with our partners TelstraClear, we’ve launched a brand new ‘citizenship’ section on the website dedicated to encouraging and showcasing examples of the country’s best-practice corporate citizenship initiatives.
We’ve broadened our focus to showcase how companies can do business while ensuring they make a positive contribution to industries and communities in New Zealand as well as the environment.
Visit our new ‘citizenship’ section and if you’ve got any great examples of socially responsible business initiatives you’d like to share, email editor@celsias.co.nz.

This is cool. As sustainability morphs into citizenship it will finally start to become the all embracing concept it was originally supposed to be: people, planet, profit, not just environmentalism.
