Leaving the packaging in the shop, 97°

This is going to be quite a challenge for me but I am now getting fed up with taking plastic off absolutely everything. I think I will put something sharp in my purse so that I can cut off the plastic covering on vegetables and things I buy in computer shops.

In India, people - even my life-mate - look at me strangely, when I sometimes carry the storage box to get groceries (rice, pulses). At neighbourhood groceries, many items are sold straight from the shop's bulk containers.

You should see the strange looks the shop staff give you !!! It's seriously great fun. I bought a small 2 inch high MP3 player last month. The packaging was shockingly over the top. I cheerfully unpacked it all there on the shop counter and left it for them to think about packaging issues.

Whilst sometimes packaging is justified, there are just too many products wrap for no good reason. These I unwrap and hand back the packaging. If we all did this then collectively we can send a really clear message to the markets about waste
