I am studying at the moment as a mature student (I work as well) and my New Years resolution is to start saving towards a scooter to get around. It may actually take a few years but I opened up two bank accounts seperate to my main bank that I deal with and decided to get pro active and start saving. I am also considering the cost of the extras such as protective clothing, helmet, and of course a licence and insurance in my savings plan too and will drip feed a little bit of money into the account each week or fortnight. Today I put just $35 into it and will make sure this is added to regularly. I also called it my Scooter account so it is a good incentive for me to regularly drip feed money into it. At the moment I walk usually to work or if I need to go anywhere as I live in a small community but once I graduate I will probably need wheels to get around anyway so this way at least I am saving towards something tht will help me in the long term. :-D
